Tyler

I thought I would do an update on Tyler. He is excelling very well academically this year. He is reading very well, & got the highest score out of the entire Kindergarten on one of their standarized tests. He still has a hard time not talking, but we've learned that he never will learn to stop, so we've learned to deal with it. His teacher asked me the other day "Do you pump him full of sugar before you send him to school?" Of course she loves him, she just thinks it is quite funny that he can talk as much as he does.

He just got glasses. He doesn't have a hard time seeing, but he is so far sighted his eyes are working very hard to see. So with the help of these glasses, his eyes won't be working as hard, and they are hoping that it will correct his farsightedness in a couple years. If his eyes worked too hard for too long, it could damage his eyes permanently. He thinks they help him read, & we aren't going to tell him any different, so his reading has improved so much with these glasses.

He finally lost another tooth. It has been 1 year 4 months since he lost his last one. So he was very excited for the tooth fairy to come, & then the tooth fairy forgot to come the first night!! Whoops!

He also started wrestling this season, we thought he would be too tiny to wrestle, but he is actually really good. They had a couple meets with just the soda teams, & he did very well. Beat everyone he wrestled. Then there was a very big tournament here, where anyone from anywhere could come. We signed him up, not knowing what would happen. Some of these kids have been wrestling for years. Well he did very well! He pinned his first kid. Then he wrestled for the championship and the kid put his arm around his neck & choked him. Of course the ref pulled his arm off. But TYler did not like that. So he kind of was a little confused after that, and was worried the kid was going to choke him again. So he ended up getting beat at the very end. But he ended up taking 2nd place. Not bad for only wrestling for weeks!

He didn't care if he won or not, just that he got a medal. He doesn't look real happy in this picture because he was so upset the kid choked him.

Somehow, by accident I got a picture of the kid choking him. Whoops!
