Bowling

On Saturday we took the kids bowling here in Soda. It was quite an adventure! First of all, its so old it doesn't have automatic scoring! What!!! We didn't even know how to score, half way through the game we had to call my mom and have her figure our scores out.

Jared took a college bowling class, but he must not have remembered much cause I beat him 1 game!

This was how Izzy bowled. Half way through, Tyler says "this is almost as fun as bowling on the wii!"

As we were getting ready to leave to go Bowling, Izzy disappeared. I found her and said it was time to go and she said " Wait I don't have my bowling clothes on." It was too funny. She then had to wear a specific coat, because it was her bowling coat. Then when we got there, the people said that the kids could just where their socks. No way, Izzy had to have bowling shoes, to go with the bowling outfit and bowling coat. Sometimes she is just too cute!
So the best part of my updating is...We went to Vegas the middle of January. Yay me!! Actually yay Jared. He has to get continuing education credits each year to keep his license, & I lucked out, and there was one in Vegas where he could get all his credits in one seminar. So I went along for the vacation, and we met a couple we went to school with down there. So Jared & he went to classes all day, and his wife & I played all Day.

Just some pictures I took. Again, I somehow didn't take very many. The very best one, I have to scan in, at a later time!

M & M World
I was pointing to our hotel, but I didn't know she was taking the picture.

This was at Ceasar's Palace. Is that Jared showing PDA?? Could it be?? Can you tell from the picture where we ate that night?

Me & the Coke bear. They put a really cool background on the one they try & sell you. Made us look like we were in and ice cave.

Kristie & I with the red M & M.

This was the view from our hotel room. It was excellent. Our friends got stuck on the other side though, and all they got was a view of the parking lot. I don't know how we lucked out.

The volcano show at the mirage. If you look closely you can see my makeup, ya it was done by a drag queen. Nuf said.

New Years

For New Year's this year my favorite little sister and her husband came to Soda to visit us. Then Cami stayed for several days while we had fun doing girl stuff!

Here is Cami & Tyler (she now has a Tyler as well..) in front of Soda Springs very own gyser! This day Cami went to "help" Isabella take a nap. After a while I went to see what was going on and Cami was asleep too!

Again, I was slacking with the pictures and these are the only two I took.

Christmas

For Christmas Eve, we did the traditional jammies.Grandma & Papa got them these cute jammies with matching bathrobes. Izzy's had guitar's all over them because they were Hannah Montana ones. Well she calls them her Guitar Hero jammies. Because she has no idea who Hannah Montana is, but boy can she spot anything Guitar hero a mile a way.

For christmas the kids opened up their presents at home, and then we made the journey on some very scary roads to Wyoming. We spent a couple days there with all the grandparents & cousins.

Santa brought Tyler a bat cave, and Izzy a pink castle.Tyler took this picture of mommy getting the best present on earth! I have wanted a steam mop for the the last couple years, but since we've moved into this house, which has hardwood floors & tiling, I desperately needed it. I was so excited!Grandma carwash made the kids cute coats. I guess I didn't get a picture of Izzy in hers. But they both are obsessed with them. They refuse to wear anyother coat but them.

Temple Square

We went to temple square & somehow these are the only pictures I took. I think we were too cold to even think about pictures.

I absolutely love this picture. This picture opportunity didn't exist when we got married, so we don't have one. We have one from before we had kids though, when we came down to see the lights. So this is very special to me, with our whole family!

The Mayan

On our day trip to Utah I decided I wanted to take the kids to the Mayan. My mom had taken me there when we went wedding dress shopping, & I'd never been back. Plus Jared & the kids had never been. The kids were amazed! They had so much fun watching everything and loved the diving show. We had to force them out the door, they would have stayed all day.
This big animal mouth was outside the Mayan. Tyler got in, but I think he wasn't as thrilled as he thought he was going to be.

Hill Air Force Base

For most of you that know Tyler know, from about the time he was 4 he has said that when he grows up he wants to be a fighter jet pilot. He was even one for halloween. Every time we have been to Utah, he sees Hill Air FB & he is obsessed with it for days. So in December we decided to take a last minute trip to Utah to get some christmas shopping done & to go to temple square. So there was no way we coud go without stopping and going to the Air Force Museum.

His dream came true earlier than he thought. He got to fly a plane!
He even got to land on the moon!

Santa Santa Everywhere.

The City of Soda Springs, hosted Santa at the Park this year. So we went downtown to the park and waited in line for and hour and a half for the kids to see santa! In the freezing coldweather! But the city provide nice hot chocolate & cinnimon rolls that were yummy! This was visit 1 to Santa, and Izzy asked for castle, and Tyler asked for a Bat Cave.

Visit number 2 to Santa was at our ward party. Izzy through a huge fit, and wouldn't sit on his lap. I don't know what her deal was. Tyler climbed right up and then told Santa he would like a helicopter. ( Umm...what? but Santa already bought the Bat Cave. What's an elf to do???) Then after Santa left and we were eating dinner, Izzy says "where's
Santa, I need to tell him I want a castle." (At least it was the same toy. Santa was safe on that one.)

We went to the Mayan (check the next post) & in the waiting area they had Santa & Mrs. Claus. Again Izzy through a huge fit and wouldn't sit on his lap. But up went Tyler and said he wanted a remote control grave digger. (What??? Santa went out bought the only helicopter she could find, to go along with the previously asked for Bat Cave so he wouldn't be sad.)
At that point Tyler was told that Santa wrote Mommy a letter & said it was too late for a remote control grave digger because he changed his mind. He didn't seem to mind, thank goodness.
