Tomatoes!!

We aren't the best gardeners, but we sure try!  I am quite impressed with amount of tomatoes we got out of the garden today..We are kind of giving up on the weather (hence why they are all green!)  We don't get a very long growing season here in Soda Springs, so I think we did pretty good!

PEACHES!

It was that time of year again...PEACHES!!  I love canning peaches, they are so easy and it is so fulfilling. This may not look like a lot, but those bowls were HUGE.  It was a lot of peaches, that I turned into Peach Pie Filling.

My friend Lindsay, had never canned before so we spent the day canning hers and mine!  She also did some strawberry peach Jam.

Usually when we are together we act like a couple teenagers, but canning is kind of a serious..not really for high schoolers....But Lindsay fixed that with a photo shoot!

I love this picture, I think she looks like a manequin!

My Little Punk!

Is that not the cutest look ever??

This is Aunt Stephie's little punk! For some reason I started calling him that and he would laugh everytime I said it...So now he's my punk!

About a month ago, I was THE BEST AUNT EVER!!  And drove up to Star Valley to babysit Jax while his mom was reffing...He and Izzy had so much fun.   We spent quite a while at Burger King in the play place..OF course he wanted to climb everywhere Izzy went, but wasn't quite big enough yet..

For some reason he thought leaning over the edge was hilarious, and spent half his time upside down!

His mom told me not to put him down for his nap so he'd sleep in the car....that worked out well..We both fell asleep...There is nothing better than a sleeping baby in your arms. His mom says he NEVER sleeps in anyone's arms..Its cause he needs his aunt Stephy for that.

New Tricks

The kids have been learning lots of new tricks in this wonderful fall weather.  Izzy got it in her head last week that she needed her training wheels off..Once something gets in her head there is no changing her mind...So she helped her dadday take them off.     "

One good push from her daddy and
Voila!  She did it...And she is a wild woman!  She is riding all over the place, and taught herself to start without help as well..I'm super proud that my 4 year old little girl is doing it!  (Tyler was not quite as excited to get his off, at an older age too)
The other day I here Tyler yelling to me "You gotta see this"  He has learned to ride with no hands!  He has since moved on to hands above his head with the rock on symbol and yelling  "ROCK ON!"  Jared and I have bets on how long its going to be before he breaks a bone!

Back to School

I can't figure out why my pictures are turned, so..sorry...School started, a while ago...Tyler is in the second grade, and seems to  love it!  I personally think that the first grade work was just too easy for him and was bored...Of course all moms think their kids are genius's...but I really think its true...Last year his spelling words were, it, the, was, is, who, what, where etc...Or they all rhymed and had the same ending...This year a whole different story, such as remarked, appreciate, children, worried, acrobat....And he is doing so well!  NO calls from the teacher about talking as of yet!!  So maybe he just needed a challenge..Last year is AR scores were very poor, which was very frustrating considering how long he'd been reading..Now this year he is at a 93%...again he has harder books, which seem to make more sense to him...He brought home an assigment for a science project, and he and his dad have been hard at work for a couple weeks, and he is so excited to take it to school next week.

Our baby, is no longer a baby!  She started preschool this month, and is enjoying every minute!  She is acting so grown up lately, makes me very sad :(.  Yesterday she informed us that today they would be going on a fall walk and we were not allowed to come, only teachers...Her dad said "well I want to go on your fall walk with you"  And she informed him no way!  I was a little concerned for her because she just misses the cut off to be able to go to kindergarten this year...and all the kids in her primary class got to go..The kids she will go to school with are sunbeams right now. and she calls them the babies...But that first day of school when I had to leave her, broke my heart..I KNOW that if that had been kindergarten, and we would have turned around and gone home..There would have been no way I would've left my baby! And she hasn't said one word about going to preschool with the babies!

Our new Addition!

We've had a new addition to our family in the last month..

Meet Gracie

She is the cutest little thing!  I'm still not quite sure how I got suckered into getting them a puppy....I am not a dog lover, or animal lover period...But since we can't seem to have babies at our house, we got the next best thing!  And it has been so fun!

But she has the cutest personalityl...this is one of her favorite games to play.  We try to touch her paw and then she tries to get our hand..We all end up laughing hysterically .

This is where she has ended up sleeping..She starts out on the floor in her bed...but at somepoint Tyler puts her bed up in his bed, and then she ends up sleeping on his lap...It is pretty cute.

She has to be involved in everything!  Here they were taking the training wheels off Izzy's bike, and she thought she could help.

My baby boy turne 8 on the 8th. I still am in shock over it. I can't believe I am old enough to have an 8 year old. This year he requested a drag racing party. It was not an easy task to come up with activities centered around drag racing yet age appropriate for 8 and 9 year olds.

Grandma and Papa, gave him a pair of Binoculars...but his mom had requested school clothes, so grandma listened. And as you can tell from this picture, he was not happy about that at all!

In our house, birthday celebrations last all day. So here is Tyler with his favorite breakfast with a candle in it, and a "fancy glass" with his chocolate milk.

He was much happier with the nerf gun he had requested.

One day I told Isabella to go get dressed after we were done running through the sprinklers and slip and slide. Well she came out like this. Yup, leggings, knee socks and church shoes. She looked awesome! So I say "Wow sis you look sexy!" Well that was a mistake. For the next 2 weeks everything was sexy. Everything she put on, she'd say "is this sexy?" She was wearing my big sun hat everywhere and told all the neighbors that she had her moms sexy hat on. I was mortified (inbetween Jared and I's laughing hysterically).

But thats not the worst part...She started running around the house with her arms in the air like super man yelling "Sex girl to the rescue!" The first time she did it I was shocked!! I said "what did you say?" She says "I'm sex girl, I help people!" So explain she probably better not say that, and the smart pants goes "But you said it! You said I was a sexy girl!" Well she had me there, so like the good mother I am I convince her I said sassy. So then she ran around saying she was "Sassy Girl." Phew, that could've been bad. Thank goodness the sexy phase has passed us! I'll have to choose my words more careful next time she comes out in one of "her" outfits!

Projects, Projects, Projects

Over the last year or so, I have worked on lots and lots of projects...Mainly baby presents. This is one of the latest..( I have more, I just can't find the pics yet.) THis is one that I made for a friend of mine when she had her baby last month.

Yep, its a catepillar!!! I thought it was very cute!! just tooting my own horn a minute!!

Projects

We've been working on lots of projects around our house! On Memorial Day we sought out on a big one....A new shed. My hubby is amazing! He started it about 9 that morning and by 9 that night we were finished! I even helped..It was pretty simple putting it together until Jared's helper(I won't say her name) gave him the wrong length of 2 x 4....twice...and he had to make some alterations.

Its amazing we could go from this huge pile of what looked like scraps.

To this

To This
And finally This!

Remi Sure thought he was helping that day.

Cruise

I can't get the words and pictures all worked out, so just keep reading and hopefully it will all make sense. I also still need to scan in the professional photos we got taken as well.

In June, Jared and I had to the chance to go on a fabulous cruise to the Mexican Riveria. Because I have soo many pictures I'm just going to post them all. Unfortunately I didn't take many pictures though..I carried my camera EVERYWHERE with me, but we'd get done doing something and then I'd remember I had it. The cruise was great, it was nice to relax and be I waited on hand and foot..They cleaned our room every time we left it, and the service at dinner was amazing..I haven't been able to eat out in Soda Springs since we got back (Soda has the worst service EVER). Except for the last day on very rough water and we both got sick, it was great!

We had towel animals on our bed at night, and I thought they were all so cute. Except I forgot to take a picture til our last night. I even took a towel folding class..So if you ever need a towel animal, you let me know!!

Every day in the elevator it had the day of the week on the floor. I laughed and laughed at this..Then one day we got in the elevator at 12:05 AM and it had already been changed.

I just thought this sign was hilarious! Really its pesos, which makes it only $1.90 in US but still, I laughed a lot at this. Don't mind me in the picture we'd been at the beach all day, salt water does wonders on the hair.
